What does Reuse Selection mean? Betslip breakdown, critical conditions and more

Navigating the nuances of each specific sportsbooks’ interface can be stressful. While there are similarities between the big books, the differences can lead bettors in an untenable direction.

Many sportsbooks give users a chance to recycle their bets for future wagers. For example, if you have a good feeling about a particular player going over again in a specific game, or that a team will cover the spread again, you can make that wager twice.

FanDuel makes that recycle incredibly easy with the “Reuse Selection” button.

We’ll explain more about what the button does, and in what context players can use it, in the paragraphs below.

The Reuse Selection tool on the FanDuel betslip allows users to recycle their previous bets again if they choose.

So if a user puts $100 real-money wager on Jimmy Butler for going over 25.5 points at -110 and wants to place that same wager again, they can easily do so by clicking the Reuse Selection on the bottom of their betslip.

This tool will be displayed in the bottom left corner of each user’s betslip.

The purpose of the Reuse Selection is to store user’s bets for future wagers, or in case the player wants to adjust or edit their bet at all. The Reuse Selection tool specifically will reload the user’s previous bet as it was when it was originally placed, though likely with different odds as the odds will naturally change from day to day.

In short, yes users can reuse parlay bets though they will likely have different odds from one day to the next.

Notably though, reusing a wager simply recycles one leg of the parlay wager.

So for example, if a user placed a three-leg parlay on Mike Trout to homer, the Lakers to win and Anthony Davis to get over 20 rebounds, they could recycle one leg of that wager, like Trout to homer or Davis for 20+ rebounds but would still need to build the parlay.

The “Reuse Selection” feature does not recycle the entire parlay bet but rather a desired leg of the parlay wager.

On the FanDuel platform, a user’s betslip will be on the right hand side once they’ve selected a wager.

As users click their desired wagers, they will appear on the right side, in the betslip with options for the amount the choose to wager. Next to the cell with the desired wager amount, users will see a separate cell that displays how much users could potentially win if their wager hits.

The betslip will include all the odds for each wager, the times of the matches or games, the type of wager a user has selected and the teams competing during the game.

Your FanDuel betslip will display every wager you’ve placed. So, each leg of a potential parlay wager will be displayed individually.

Additionally, the FanDuel betslip has a winnings calculator built in. As users increase or decrease their stake, FanDuel will show bettors how much they stand to win if their wager hits.

This can come in handy when players are hoping to reuse successful bets.

The “Reuse Selection” tool can be deployed at the bettor’s choice. That being said, it’s important to understand that the odds on a particular bet, even if the wager is being recycled from one day to the next, will change.

The odds on a specific prop one day will be slightly different the next, so users should be cognizant of that change anytime they attempt to recycle old bets. A wager that presented excellent opportunities on a previous day may not have as advantageous odds the next.

Overall though, baseball and basketball moneylines are solid options for the “Reuse Selection.”

Baseball is a game of series where teams will play an opponent three games in a row. That presents a good opportunity to recycle some bets if you feel a batter has a specific advantage against a certain team or pitcher.

Similarly, basketball postseason matchups (excluding the play-in tournament) are all seven games so users have another chance to recycle a particularly solid bet.

Also, both the basketball and baseball regular seasons stretch across many months with squads facing off multiple times during the year.

Overall though, the “Reuse Selection” tool can be used whenever a bettor feels good about a certain wager. As noted though, it is important to clearly review the odds before each bet as they will change from day to day even if the bet is the same.

As noted above, the “Reuse Selection” tool is simply the easiest way for user’s to repeat their previous wager. Underneath an eligible wager, users will see a small button that reads “Reuse Selection”.

Bettors can easily click that button to recycle their previous wagers, but as noted earlier, the odds will likely change to that wager so players should review the updated odds before re-wagering.

While you can recycle bets from the immediately previous day, no you cannot use a this tool to place a wager that you put down on Monday, on Wednesday.

This tool will store previous wagers for roughly a day or until bettors place a new wager, but they will eventually clear the betting queue.

Yes, while bettors can easily reuse their previous bets, the odds will likely be different as it odds on most wagers change slightly each day.

This may not always be the case but, regardless, it is prudent of users to double check the odds to their bets even if they intend to reuse them. At times, the varied odds may dissuade or encourage users to wager differently.

The updated odds, with an updated potential win total, will be displayed on the bottom of each user’s betslip.
