What Is Hard Rock Bet? Online Sportsbook Now Available to Everyone in Florida
For just three weeks in November 2021, Florida online sports betting was fully live and operational with Hard Rock Bet being the sole mobile sportsbook.
After getting a small taste of legalized sports betting, Florida residents had to wait two years for the return of Hard Rock Bet, as it was shut down after two casino operators in the state challenged their agreement with the Seminole Tribe, claiming it was illegal.
One month ago, Hard Rock Bet made its much-awaited return, but in a limited capacity as a test period. Today, however, the online sportsbook is now available for everyone in Florida.
What Is Hard Rock Bet?
Hard Rock Bet is an online sportsbook owned and operated by Hard Rock Entertainment. In addition to Florida, the mobile sports betting app is available to use in Arizona, Indiana, New Jersey, Ohio, Tennessee, and Virginia.
Currently, Hard Rock Bet is the only online sportsbook available in the state of Florida. When all new users sign up, they’re eligible for their “No Regret First Bet” promo for up to $100, where you can get up to $100 back if your first bet loses.
All Hard Rock Bet customers can earn loyalty rewards as well, which you can redeem for discounts to Hard Rock hotels, cafes, and shops based on how often you play.
Luckily for sports bettors in the state of Florida, Hard Rock Bet’s full launch comes right before the start of the NFL Week 14 slate.
Unfortunately for them, the first NFL game available for them to bet on is the New England Patriots vs. Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday Night Football, perhaps the worst game of the week and the least appealing prime-time matchup of the season.
This weekend, however, there are a couple of marquee matchups for Floridians to place bets on — most notably the Buffalo Bills vs. Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles vs. Dallas Cowboys on Sunday Night Football.
The state’s first NFL weekend with fully legal online sports betting also coincides with a Monday Night Football doubleheader, featuring Florida’s own Miami Dolphins.
