Are Sportsbooks Refunding Bets On Joe Burrow and Mark Andrews?

Tonight’s highly anticipated Thursday Night Football game started off on the wrong foot on the opening drive when Baltimore Ravens tight end Mark Andrews suffered an ankle injury and didn’t return.

Then, after throwing a touchdown pass to Joe Mixon in the second quarter, Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow hurt his wrist and then was eventually ruled out to start the second half. If you have player prop bets on Burrow or Andrews tonight, you’re probably wondering if you will be getting a refund.

Are Sportsbooks Refunding Bets for Joe Burrow and Mark Andrews?

Burrow and Andrews were two of the most heavily bet players in tonight’s game –both in straight bets and same game parlays — and they each left the game and didn’t return before the end of the half.

At BetMGM, the three most popular player prop bets were overs on Andrews. At DraftKings, meanwhile, Andrews to record over 4.5 receptions was the most bet on player prop, and 98% of the tickets and 97% of the handle was on Burrow to throw for over 1.5 touchdown passes.

So far, none of the sportsbooks have issued statements on social media that they’re refunding customers for bets on Burrow or Andrews. At the very least, maybe they will refund same game parlays in which there was one losing leg, and it was on Burrow or Andrews.

That has become a common practice when there has been an injury to a notable offensive player in a prime-time game. A prime example of this was when Aaron Rodgers left the game in the first quarter of Monday Night Football in the 2023 NFL season opener.

We’ll monitor for any updates from the sportsbooks’ support channels on social media and pass them along here throughout the evening as we see them. Stay tuned and check back if you need to know if you’re getting a refund for Burrow or Andrews.
