What sportsbooks will be available for North Carolina online sports betting launch?

The wait is nearly over for North Carolina legal online sports betting, which will launch at noon ET on March 11, in time for the ACC Tournament and March Madness!

As bettors in the Tar Heel State look forward to the date, we're providing the list of sportsbooks expected to be available at launch.

With daily fantasy sports already legal in North Carolina, the public is well aware of DraftKings and FanDuel. But what other top-rated sportsbooks can new users expect? Read on to find out.

Online sportsbooks coming to North Carolina

March 1 was approved as the start date for registration and enrollment for NC online sportsbooks by the North Carolina Lottery Commission (NCLC). Sportsbooks need to have their certificate of compliance to start accepting bets on March 11.

Each sportsbook operator below has secured the required market-access partner in North Carolina.

DraftKings North Carolina

DraftKings Sportsbook is available in more than 20 states across the US. The DraftKings Sportsbook app has a 4.8 rating (out of five) at the App Store after 677,000 customer reviews.

Comedian and actor Kevin Hart has been featured in North Carolina TV ads to promote the arrival of DraftKings in the Tar Heel State. DraftKings and FanDuel are the market-share leaders in US online sports betting.

FanDuel NC

FanDuel Sportsbook also boasts a 4.8 rating after 1.3 million customer reviews at the App Store. North Carolina will become the 21st state of legal operation for FanDuel.

Rób Gronkowski, who is among FanDuel's sports ambassadors, has appeared in TV commercials announcing the sportsbook's impending arrival in North Carolina. FanDuel customers who voted on Gronk to miss the "Kick of Destiny 2" prior to Super Bowl 58 shared $10 million in bonus bets.

BetMGM North Carolina

BetMGM Sportsbook's big ad splash bowed ahead of and during Super Bowl 58 with appearances by Tom Brady, actor Vince Vaughn, and Wayne Gretzky.

BetMGM has one of the best customer loyalty programs in the industry. Known as the "King of Sportsbooks," BetMGM offers competitive odds on a wide variety of sports.

Caesars Sportsbook NC

While its North Carolina welcome offer has yet to be relased, Caesars Sportsbook currently offers the most lucrative welcome offer in most states for new users. You can receive a First Bet offer up to $1,000 on Caesars. If your first bet loses, Caesars will credit your account up to $1,000 in the amount of your initial wager.

ESPN Bet NC

ESPN Bet, the official sports betting site of ESPN, is a relative newcomer to the US sports betting scene. Penn Gaming's $1.5 billion dollar deal with ESPN allowed for the renaming of Barstool Sports to ESPN Bet.

Various ESPN celebrities appear in national TV ads, including Scott Van Pelt. While ESPN Bet's welcome offer in North Carolina is still to be determined, the sportsbook offered up to a $1,000 deposit match or $200 in bonus bets as part of a Bet & Get promo in other states.

Fanatics Sportsbook North Carolina

Fanatics, a leader in the sports apparel industry, launched Fanatics Sportsbook in 2021. Fanatics is unique in offering FanCash Rewards that can be used to buy merchandise on the company's website.

In terms of the standard welcome offer in other states, Fanatics typically offers a $1,000 "No Sweat First Bet" on a minimum $5 bet. What happens if your first bet loses? Fanatics will credit your account with $100 in bonus bets for the next 10 days. Bonus bets expire after 90 days of receipt.
