What to wear to Cheltenham Festival: Jade Holland Cooper shares her expert tips on how to do it in sartorially chic style

Her most esteemed patron? The Princess of Wales. Most recently Kate Middleton has worn Holland Cooper to plant a tree in honour of the late Queen Elizabeth II at Westminster Abbey, at an England v Wales rugby match at Twickenham, and at a movie night for NHS workers at Holyroodhouse. ‘It couldn’t feel any better. For me, it’s just the pinnacle of who we could aspire to to wear and love the brand. She looks so beautiful in it and that encapsulates everything we are trying to be. We couldn’t have a more wonderful person to wear and champion the brand,’ Holland Cooper shares.

Jade’s advice for a stellar day at Cheltenham starts at No.131, her sceney boutique hotel, for breakfast. ‘That’s quite a big thing before the races,’ she says. Once you’re there, ‘It's the village if you really want that kind of Glastonbury feel and then there's boxes if you want totally the opposite. I think if you're in a box, you've got to get out to feel that roar of the crowd.’

Betting, however, takes a lesser role for Holland Cooper. ‘I’ve got no idea,’ she jokes, ‘My husband, [Superdry co-founder Julian Dunkerton] is very good. He’s been researching for weeks. I’m more “That horse looks nice” or “I quite like that name”’. After all, it’s Holland Cooper’s sartorially elegant designs that are the true winner each year.
