When time does the Goodwood Cup race start?

Stradivarius, Kyprios and Trueshan are going to compete in this year's Goodwood Cup. The race forms part of the Stayers’ Triple Crown and is sandwiched between the Ascot Gold Cup and the Doncaster Cup, which will take place in September.

The Goodwood Cup takes place on Tuesday 26th July at 3.35 pm. It is a two-mile race for horses aged above 3-years-old. The first Good Wood Cup took place in 1849 and Canezou won the first of two consecutive wins.

Trueshan won last year's Goodwood Cup. Hollie Doyle became the first female jockey to win the race. Stradivarius was withdrawn before the start of the last race due to heavy rain. The race starts at 9:30.

Kyprios is the favourite to win the Royal Ascot Gold Cup. Stradivarius came third in the last year's race. Andrea Atzeni will ride for the first time in almost two years. Trueshan won the Goodwood Cup last season. Hollie Doyle will be hoping to continue her recent good form.
