Liverpool are strong favourites to earn their first win in five Premier League away games when they visit beleaguered Sheffield United on Wednesday.

The promoted Blades have made a miserable start to the season and are bottom of the table with one win from their first 14 league games, a run that has seen manager Paul Heckingbottom sacked. Liverpool, meanwhile, are four matches unbeaten in all competitions, winning three of those games, against Brentford, LASK and Fulham.

Their victory against the Cottagers at Anfield was a dramatic one, coming from behind to win 4-3 courtesy of Wataru Endo's 87th-minute equaliser and Trent Alexander-Arnold's winner a minute later.

The Sporting News looks at the key details ahead of this game, including how to watch it across the world, kickoff times and the latest lineup news.

Rhys Norrington-Davies has been back in training but is yet to return and Oli McBurnie is suspended following his dismissal in their 5-0 defeat at Burnley on Saturday. New manager Chris Wilder may have some new ideas, of course, about how to line up his team.

Sheffield United vs Liverpool prediction, odds

Liverpool have tended to struggle against promoted clubs, going winless in their last four such games, including a 1-1 draw at Luton Town in the most recent of them when their equaliser arrived in the 95th minute. There's also the new manager bounce factor that could come into it.

That said, Sheffield United's form would make it a brave call to back them for a positive result. Their only win of the season came at home to Wolves, but they have also lost five of their seven league games at Bramall Lane – including an 8-0 hammering by Newcastle United - and were knocked out of the Carabao Cup there by third-tier Lincoln City.

Prediction: Sheffield United 0-4 Liverpool
