Which horses are in The Everest 2023? Updated field, odds and prize money as Giga Kick ruled out

The Everest is less than a month away, with the $20 million sprint race at Randwick scheduled for October 14th.

Pre-race favourite Giga Kick has sensationally been ruled out of the event after suffering an injury at Moonee Valley in early September.

The galloper suffered a torn gluteal muscle in the Group 2 McEwen Stakes, with a veterinary assessment declaring there to be "insufficient time to have the horse recovered and ready for his spring targets".

As one of the most unique races in Australia, The Everest requires slot holders to select their runner for the race, with only 12 slots available each year.

The Sporting News details all the updated slot information, betting odds and prize money for The Everest below.
