White Sox Odds Of Hiring Joe Espada Just Increased
The Miami Marlins are reportedly hiring former Cardinals bench coach Skip Schumaker as their manager. He will replace Don Mattingly, who left as the franchise’s all-time leader in wins.
Joe Espada is a finalist for the Miami job. Matt Quatraro and Schumaker are also in the running. Espado was a coach in Miami's organization. He was also a special assistant to Brian Cashman at the Yankees. The White Sox were interested in hiring him.
Joe Espada is the best candidate to replace Alex Cora as the bench coach of the Houston Astros. He has been to the ALCS every year he has worked there. Espado managed the team during the time Dusty Baker was away.
