Will Kyle Busch Win A Cup Championship With RCR?

Kyle Busch will drive the No. 8 Chevrolet for Richard Childress Racing for the 2023 NASCAR Cup Series season and beyond. Bush is now partnered with Richard, a man he's had a well-documented beef with. RCR hasn't won a Cup Championship since 1994.

Kyle Busch is 37 years old and has been in NASCAR since 2005. He has won 60 races and two titles, but he's not a title contender lately. His last victory before Bristol was at Pocono Raceway last June. This year his only win was in Texas Motor Speedway. RCR's last Cup title came with Dale Earnhardt in 1994. It came close in 2014 with Ryan Newman. Since 2017, the organization's best rank in the driver's standings was 11th. Austin Dillon came 11st in both 2017 and 2020. Tyler Reddick won twice in one season since Kevin Harvick in 2013.

Busch has won three championships in the last three years. He has four wins in 2021 alone. His team, Joe Gibbs Racing, has not won a championship since 1994. The team is beginning to look like its old self again. Busch is 37 years old and has a lot of quality years left in him. He will be working with RCR in 2022. They have not been a title threat since Newman in 2014. Reddick has two wins and is a potential dark horse. Jimmie Johnson won twice in last decade.
