With gambling sponsorship, Bas Tietema's professional team takes shape
Gambling firm Unibet will sponsor Bas Tietema's rumoured professional cycling team. Tiedema has a YouTube channel with 151,000 subscribers. The team will be called TDT-Unibets Cycling Team and will race at Continental level. It is rumour that it will eventually move up to be a ProTeam. The squad will use Cannondale bikes. Uniberet had a team between 2006-2007 but they were banned from starting the season opener at Paris-Nice. They were not allowed to start the race. Hugo Haak, the former Dutch national track team coach, will manage the team in the 2023 season.
