Yankees’ Anthony Rizzo makes opt-out decision, report says

Anthony Rizzo has exercised the opt-out option in his contract and is hitting the open market as a free agent. Rizzardo had until five days after the World Series ended to make up his mind.

Anthony Rizzo signed a two-year, $32 million contract with the Yankees before the 2022 season. He hit 32 home runs this season and is close to Aaron Judge. Rizzardo is a four-time Gold Glove Award winner and three- time All-Star. He played 130 of the 162 regular-season games and started all nine postseason games.
