Yankees Free Agent Target: Willson Contreras
Yankees are interested in signing Willson Contreras. He is a good hitter and a better catcher than Jose Trevino. The Yankees have a history of having good catchers. They used to have two good ones in Jorge Posada and José Molina. Contrreas is coming off a career best 132 wRC+ in just under 500 plate appearances. He would play behind Giancarlo Stanton and Gleyber Torres. It's possible that he could play in left field. If the Yankees want to upgrade the offense at the position, they could push Tre vino to play at second base.
