Yankees Mailbag: Matt Carpenter’s return, Oswald Peraza’s roster spot

Matt Carpenter is expected to be available as a bench bat for the ALDS. DJ is already back. LeMahieu is injured and needs to rest. He is mainly going to provide his versatile defense for this postseason run. He has a small sample size. If he can hit one more long ball, it will be a worthwhile decision for him. It was initially determined that Le Mahieu's injury couldn't be fixed in time with an IL stint.
