Yankees vs. Reds prediction and odds for Saturday, May 20 (Can Yanks’ bats stay hot?)

The New York Yankees continued their strong play on Friday night with a win over the Cincinnati Reds, and they’re looking to keep it going on Saturday afternoon.

New York has yet to name a starter for Saturday’s game, but it does know who it will face.

Luke Weaver (1-2, 6.26 ERA) gets the ball for the Reds on Saturday, and he’s looking to build off his best outing of the season in his last start.

Can the Yankees stay hot at the dish or will the Reds even the weekend series?

Here’s a look at the latest odds and a best bet for this contest:

Has there been a hotter hitter in baseball than Aaron Judge?

Since returning from the injured list, the reigning MVP has been absolutely elite, homering again on Friday night’s win over Cincinnati.

The return of Judge and Harrison Bader has bolstered the entire New York offense. Over the last 15 days, the Yankees rank second in OPS, first in home runs, second in runs scored and sixth in total hits.

That’s a dominant run, and the team should be able to carry that into Saturday’s contest.

Weaver has struggled mightily this season, giving up at least four runs in four of his five starts. He has a Fielding Independent Pitching of 6.11, and his lone solid start came against the Miami Marlins, who are one of the worst offenses in baseball.

Even though we don’t know the Yankees’ starter, we can trust their bullpen (second in MLB in bullpen ERA this season).

Back New York to get another win in this series.
