Yasiel Puig in Legal Trouble, Tied to Unlicensed Sportsbook Ops

Yasiel Puig has pleaded guilty to one count of making a false statement regarding his involvement with an underground sports betting operation. He has paid a fine of $55,000. Puigs lost almost $300,00 in sports bets in 2019. His bookie worked under a non legal US sportsbook operated by Wayne Joseph Nix.

Yasiel Puig is accused of having illegally operated sportsbook operations. He was interviewed by the government in January. Puige has ADHD and other mental health issues.
