9 assets the Seattle Kraken can offer the Canucks in a Bo Horvat trade

Shane Wright was captain of the Canadian World Juniors team. He was expected to be the most recent first overall draft selection. Seattle Kraken have only had two drafts with which to stock their prospect cupboard. They have a lot of future picks. Vancouver Canucks need to get another first rounder in order to land Horvat.  Seattle is in a playoff position and at 12 overall in the league. The team needs to put together a compelling package. It needs a 2023 first-round pick. If Seattle can't get it, they need an extra second or third. In a loaded draft, a second-rounder is as valuable as a first.

The Seattle Kraken has a lot of prospects that Canucks could be interested in. Ville Ottavainen, Ty Nelson and Ryker Evans are good prospects. Morgan Geekie is a centre who has 14 points on the season. He could replace Bo Horvat in the Canucks' lineup. He's been playing on Seattle's fourth line. The Canucks can't afford to turn down future talent at any position. They need to focus on defence. Seattle has some good young prospects, especially at the RHD position, but not much else. It's not clear what they would be willing to give up.
