Alijah Vera-Tucker disapproves of Breece Hall's NBA prediction
NY Jets teammates Alijah Vera-Tucker and Breece Hall have different takes on a first-round NBA Playoffs battle
The 2023 NBA Playoffs are right around the corner. With the NFL in the heart of its offseason, players around the league have plenty of time to give their predictions on what they think will happen.
New York Jets running back Breece Hall predicts the third-seeded Sacramento Kings will defeat the sixth-seeded Golden State Warriors on the Western Conference side of the bracket.

Despite the Kings being the higher-seeded team, Hall labeled his prediction of Sacramento winning as an “upset”. It makes sense; the Warriors are defending NBA champions and the odds-on favorites to win the series.
Jets offensive lineman Alijah Vera-Tucker vehemently disagrees with Hall’s prediction. “This is what ignorance looks like people”, Vera-Tucker jokingly tweeted in reply to Hall.

Vera-Tucker has Golden State winning the series in six games.

AVT’s allegiance to the Warriors is no surprise, as he’s a born-and-raised Northern California kid. Vera-Tucker was born in Oakland and graduated from Oakland’s Bishop O’Dowd High School, which is less than a four-mile drive away from the Warriors’ former home, Oakland Arena (formerly known as Oracle Arena).
Special teams captain Justin Hardee also appears to disagree with Hall’s prediction.

The Kings finished with a 48-34 record to earn their first playoff appearance since 2006, snapping a 16-year drought. It was the longest active playoff drought of any franchise in the four major North American professional sports leagues. Now that Sacramento’s drought is over, the longest active playoff drought belongs to the New York Jets at 12 seasons.
Hall and Vera-Tucker might disagree on the Kings’ fate in these playoffs, but both players are hoping they can mimic Sacramento’s curse-breaking success this fall.
