All-Delco Football: Tommy Wright to Ethan Mahan is a memorable connection for Haverford

Tommy Wright was a team captain and All-Central League first team player for Haverford. He completed nearly 65 percent of his passes for 1,525 yards and 14 touchdowns this year. Wright also rushed for 536 yards, 7 touchdowns and 12 rushing for 943 yards in 2 ½ seasons as the Fords' QB1.

Ethan Mahan is a senior wide receiver at Haverford. He set the Hverford single-season and career records for receiving touchdowns. In 2022, he made 64 catches for 812 yards and 12 touchdowns, good for second in Delco.

Anthony Crawford had an explosive season for Strath Haven. Crawford broke the school’s single-season rushing record with 2,087 yards. He earned All-Central League honors as a running back and linebacker.

Cymeer Brown led all county players in receiving yards (1,075) and touchdown catches (13) for Chester. He became only the 17th player in Delco history to eclipse the 1,000-yard mark for a single season.

TJ Cadden, Episcopal Academy, was named co-MVP of the Inter-Ac League. Thaibri Rogers, Bonner & Prendergast, is the best offensive lineman on a stacked starting unit. He helped the Friars to go unbeaten in the Catholic League Blue Division and advance to the PIAA Class 4A semifinals for the first time.

Matt Wiesendanger was the leader of Garnet Valley's offensive line. Garnett Valley finished 13-1 overall and won the District 1 Class 6A title for the second year in a row.

Matt Pante is an All-Inter-Ac selection and a senior at Haverford School. He helped the Fords to a perfect 10-0 season and won the Inter-ac League title. Panto is committed to Cornell.

Matt Galanaugh was a first-team All-Del Val League selection. He was the offensive line anchor for Interboro's team that won the District 1 Class 4A title and advanced to the quarterfinals of the PIAA tournament.

Tyler Klambara is a senior tackle for the Springfield Cougars. He protected the blind side for senior quarterback Jake Rama, who set the program’s career passing record with 3,890 yards. Klambara also earned All-Delco honors in track and field last spring.

Na’Rome Rayborn was the starting quarterback for Episcopal Academy this season. Austin Cannon was an All-Delco football player and a blocking tight end and punter for Bonner & Prendergast. Tommy Wright and Ethan Mahan are the football stars for Haverford.
