Bears vs. Chargers NFL Player Props, Odds

Sunday concludes in Los Angeles, and our Chicago Bears vs. Los Angeles Chargers NFL player props for Sunday Night Football based on the best SNF odds add to the glitz and glamor.

Two snake-bitten teams limp into SoFi Stadium Sunday night, hoping to turn their seasons around. The Chicago Bears finally found their way into the win column during Week 7 but will play yet another week without starting quarterback Justin Fields.

Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Chargers are 2-4 on the season and are underachieving despite a talented roster. To add to their frustration, they have only one win at home this year in three attempts after going 5-3 at SoFi Stadium just one season ago.

NFL Week 8 predictions and NFL best bets, along with our Week 8 Bears vs. Chargers prediction to accompany our best Bears vs. Chargers NFL player props for Sunday Night Football (NFL odds via our best NFL betting sites; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

Bears vs. Chargers NFL player props: Sunday Night Football

Total punts Over 8.5 (+110 via DraftKings) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Both of these teams have struggled to move the ball this season. One way to gauge that is to count their punts. Chicago has been forced to punt the ball away an average of 3.7 times per game this season. Away from Soldier Field, that number shoots up to 4.3 per game. The Bears are also converting only 42.5% of their third downs on the road during their 2023 campaign. They have participated in three games with at least nine punts this season.

Meanwhile, the Chargers are punting the ball away an average of 4.3 times per game this year. Overall, Los Angeles is only converting 39% of their third down attempts, and half of their six matchups so far have resulted in at least nine combined punts.

D.J. Moore+Keenan Allen Over 12.5 total combined receptions (+100 via BetMGM) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Chargers wide receiver Keenan Allen comes into the week 10th in the league in receptions (46). He is catching 7.6 passes per game this season. The veteran wideout has at least six receptions in four of his six contests this year. His largest output so far was against the Vikings in Week 3, when he caught 18 of his 20 targets.

Bears wideout D.J. Moore has been the only bright spot on an otherwise struggling Chicago offense. The former Carolina Panther has 40 catches on his new team this season, averaging just under 6 receptions per game. He has 8 catches in three out of his last four games. Even the quarterback change has not impacted his targets or his output.

Tyson Bagent Under 199.5 passing yards (-115 via BetMGM) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

The Chargers have been smoked by opposing quarterbacks, giving up the most passing yards per game so far this season (310). However, they have faced Tua Tagovailoa, Kirk Cousins, and Patrick Mahomes over their first six games. All three of them are inside of the top 5 in passing yards this season.

Bears quarterback Tyson Bagent is making only his third NFL appearance. The undrafted rookie has thrown for just 245 yards in his previous two combined. Last week, he was held to 162 yards against the Las Vegas Raiders. The cards were already stacked against him, too, as Justin Fields -who he replaced- was averaging only 200 passing yards per game before his exit.
