Bears vs. Colts Predictions, Picks & Odds

The Chicago Bears will face the Indianapolis Colts in Week 2 of the preseason, and Sportsbook Review betting analyst Neil Parker has checked the available NFL odds across our best sports betting apps and shares his top Bears-Colts prediction.

Chicago Bears head coach Matt Eberflus has already announced No. 1 quarterback Justin Fields will be among the starters sitting out against the Indianapolis Colts on Saturday.

Meanwhile, I’m expecting Indy to give Anthony Richardson, their recently announced starting quarterback, additional run to accelerate his acclimatization to the highest level. The gifted franchise cornerstone boasts unrivaled athleticism, but there are still chinks in the armor.

Richardson needs the reps, and he should enjoy success against the Bears' second-string defense. Or at least the Indy faithful hope he does. Another long season might be ahead in the Hoosier city if he doesn't.

Here is our best Bears-Colts prediction (odds via our best NFL betting sites; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

This line was moving in Indy's direction even before the news Fields wouldn't suit up on Saturday. Circa Sports is offering Colts -5, and Pinnacle is going with Indy -4 juiced to -116.

As a result, I’m comfortable with the DraftKings number, and I expect all of our best sports betting sites to be trading at Indy -5 sooner than later.

Additionally, I’d rather take my chances with the Richardson-Gardner Minshew-Sam Ehlinger trio than the three-ring circus set to play out with PJ Walker, Nathan Peterman, and Tyson Bagent behind an already banged-up Chicago offensive line that lacked depth to begin with.

Bears vs. Colts best odds

DraftKings (-108)

There isn't a huge advantage in the NFL odds across our best sportsbooks. For comparison, the difference between a -110 price and -108 is just a single percentage point of expected value.

Still, a penny saved is a penny earned.

Bears vs. Colts odds

There's been notable line movement in this spread. The Colts opened as short as -2 through FanDuel and bet365, and I expect this line to continue drifting in the direction of Indianapolis.

The total has also been climbing. FanDuel opened at 37.5, and bet365 was even lower at 37. BetMGM is hanging a total of 39.
