Bengals vs. Jaguars Predictions, Picks & Odds Week 13

The Jacksonville Jaguars host the Cincinnati Bengals to put a cap on Week 13 NFL action, and we have our best Bengals vs. Jaguars predictions for Monday Night Football based on the best NFL odds at our best sportsbooks.

In quarterback Jake Browning’s first start in place of the injured Joe Burrow, the Cincinnati Bengals scored just 10 points while gaining only 222 yards. While the offense was terrible, the defense managed to keep the Pittsburgh Steelers’ scoring to a minimum, even though they allowed 421 yards. The Bengals dropped the game 16-10 to fall to 5-6 on the season.

The Jacksonville Jaguars picked up a huge AFC South victory in Week 12, defeating the Houston Texans 24-21 on the road. They’ve now won seven of their last eight games and look destined to win the division at 8-3.

In addition to ourNFL Week 13 predictions and NFL Week 13 player propshere is our best Bengals vs. Jaguars prediction for Monday Night Football (odds via our best NFL betting sites; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

Bengals vs. Jaguars prediction: Monday Night Football

Even though this is the Jaguars’ first Monday Night Football game since 2011, this is a prime letdown spot for the AFC South leaders. They just won a thriller over the Texans, and with a two-game lead in the division, they may take a while to get going.

The only issue with taking the Bengals to cover the spread is that we have no idea if they’re good enough to keep this within one score with Browning under center. Last week’s final score shows a six-point game, but based on how the matchup went, the Steelers dominated the Bengals in nearly every facet of the game.

With the Jaguars coming out sluggish and the Bengals struggling to score, we recommend playing the Under in this game. The Bengals are averaging just 19.3 points per game, which includes all of Burrow’s appearances. The Jaguars are allowing just 20.5 points per game, and considering their pass defense is their weakness, we expect the Bengals and Browning to fail to come close to that average on Monday night.

The Bengals’ defense ranks in the bottom six in the league in both passing yards and rushing yards allowed per game. Yet, they’ve done a relatively good job of keeping their opponents off the scoreboard, allowing just 22.0 points per game. We'd be taking the Jaguars to cover if they weren't coming off such an emotional win, but given the current circumstances, we expect another primetime under to hit in Week 13.

Bengals vs. Jaguars best odds

All of our best sports betting apps have this total listed at 38.5, except for BetMGM. Because it's offering under 39 for -110, we recommend using our BetMGM bonus code: SBRBONUS.

However, we recommend waiting to see if you can get this number at 40 or higher for -110. Bettors are overwhelmingly favoring the Over right now, and with how the Bengals’ defense has played this season, that support shouldn’t fade. In a worst-case scenario, the number drops at our best sports betting sites, at this point, you may get BetMGM at 38.5 when every other of our best sports betting appsoffers 38.

Bengals vs. Jaguars odds for Monday Night Football

The Jaguars opened as 5.5-point favorites, but with Burrow out and the Jaguars playing solid football right now, they’re favored by 8.5. Despite the line growing in their favor, 52% of wagers back the Bengals to cover the spread. There may be minor movement throughout the week, but don’t expect this number to get anywhere near seven or 10.

The total for this game opened at 38.5, and it has either stayed put or gone up to 39 at each of our best sportsbooks. Eighty percent of wagers are back the Over, so it seems it’s just a matter of time before this number starts climbing. If support for the Over continues, this number could hit 40 before kickoff.
