Blue Jays: Is there a trade to be made between the Jays and Red Sox?
The Red Sox have a lot of young talent, including Alex Verdugo and Chris Sale. Verduto is under contract until the end of 2023, while Sale is signed through 2024. The Red SOx have been checking in on Sale's availability on the trade market. The 33-year-old is a highly-touted pitcher who was on his way to the Hall of Fame. He has a full no-trade clause. However, the Red Sox feel they have enough depth in the starting pitching department. They would like to shed some of his salary. It's possible that the Blue Jays could be interested in him. In the same span, they've made one trade between the rivals, Steve Pearce and Santiago Espinal.
