California voters reject sports wagering
A pair of propositions on Tuesday in California failed to legalize sports betting. The proposition on Proposition 26 lost by a 40-point margin, 70 percent to 30 percent. Proposition 27 failed by 84 percent against it and only 16 percent for it. In most states, the decisions about gambling are made by elected representatives. In California, it's the people who decide. It means that gambling will continue to happen illegally. and it will be the same as it ever was.
