Cheltenham Festival 2022: Vauban is an Eye-catcher looking ahead to the Triumph Hurdle

The front pair pulled fifteen lengths clear of the remainder. Max Mayhem finished twenty-five lengths adrift. He had finished 26 lengths behind the favourite Fil Dor on his previous start.

Fantastikas finished third in the renewal of the Dipper at Cheltenham. He was touted as a dark horse by Sam Twiston-Davies before the season started. Fantastika won a competitive handicap off 128 on his first start over fences. He would be keen on running in a race such as the Ultima Handicap Chase.

Diamond Egg finished 5th on his debut in a bumper race. He travelled well in midfield and was disputing second place in the final two furlongs. The Henrietta Knight Racing Club bought him from Costellos. He has a good jumping pedigree and will make a nice hurdler next season. Vauban is an eye-catcher looking ahead to the Triumph Hurdle.
