Ladies day at Cheltenham Festival starts today. The event is one of the biggest in the horse racing calendar. It's a day dedicated to the ladies. Expect the champagne to flow and fascinators to be worn.

The festival kicked off on Tuesday and runs every day through the week until its culmination on Gold Cup Friday on the 16th. Ladies Day this year has been designated its usual Wednesday slot and gates will open at 10:30am. The day ends after the evening's entertainment.

Cheltenham Festival Ladies Day 2018 is on Thursday, 13th July. The day's schedule includes the Ballymore Novices' Hurdle Race, The RSA Steeple Chase, Coral Cup HURDLE, Betway Queen Mother Champion Steepingle, Glenfarclas Cross Country Stepping and Boodles Fred Winter Juvenile Handicap Hursing.

The Queen Mother Champion Chase is one of the big races of Cheltenham Festival. Altior is the favourite, but he will face competition from other horses such as Douvan, Yorkhill and Un de Sceaux. Cause of Causes is also set to return to try and retain his Cross Country Chase trophy from last year.
