Coyotes vs Devils Prediction

The Arizona Coyotes and New Jersey Devils face off on Friday in an NHL showdown at the Prudential Center.

Devils on Tired Legs

The Devils played their first game of the season on Thursday and they were able to secure the 4-3 victory. The Devils scored two goals in the second and two goals in the 3rd and that was enough for the win. Jonas Siegenthaler had a strong game finishing with zero goals and three assists. Jack Hughes was also an x-factor finishing with four shots on goal and two goals. In goal was Vitek Vanecek and he saved 32 of the 35 shots he faced. There have to be some concerns though about tired legs, and in this game the defense is going to need to be better.

All Eyes on Logan Cooley

All Eyes are on Logan Cooley who first announced he was going back to the University of Minnesota for another year, but he then changed his mind and now is playing his first NHL game on Friday night. In 39 games last year with the Gophers he finished with 22 goals and 60 points. Even though there is a lot of buzz about this team this offseason, there are still a lot of questions surronding this team, and it’s still hard to believe they are going to make the playoffs. In this game,  the defense is going to need to step up and not let the Devils offense get out to a fast start.

Shane’s Free Pick

This is a perfect spot for the Coyotes. The Devils defense wasn’t great in the first game and they are going to struggle in this game. Cooley is going to get his NHL career off to a fast start, and that is going to be the difference here. The tired legs are going to really hurt the Devils and the Coyotes are going to get the job done here. Back the Coyotes on the money line to cash here.
