Ukraine came second in their Nations League B group behind Scotland, drawing a must win game against the Scots in the final match of the group.
Now managed by interim boss Ruslan Rotan, the Ukrainians prepared for their game at Wembley by beating Premier League side Brentford 2-0 in a friendly in London on Thursday night.
The Ukrainians face an uphill battle to qualify for their fourth successive European championships, drawn into a qualifying group alongside Euro 2020 finalists England and Italy, with only the top two teams booking their place in Germany 2024.
England fans will fondly remember the last time the two sides met, with the Three Lions running out 4-0 victors in Rome in the quarter finals of Euro 2020.
England have never lost at home to Ukraine, winning four of their previous meetings at home.
