Galopin Des Champs now 7-4 for Cheltenham glory

Galopin Des Champs won the John Durkan Memorial Punchestown Chase under trainer Paul Townend. The race was delayed by 8 days due to the cold snap. Galopins Des champs is now favourite for the 2023 Boodles Cheltenham Gold Cup. The Gold cup takes place in March. Lifetime Ambition finished third. It was Townen's first time racing in the senior ranks. He was a novice last season. Fakir D'Oudairies finished second. There was no World Cup or other major sporting event. Townin's trainer Willie Mullins was pleased with Galoper Deschamps' performance.
