Historic Turners awaits as first all-Irish affair in Cheltenham Festival history

It's the first all-Irish event at Cheltenham Festival. Turners Novices' Chase is the smallest field at jump racing's showpiece event in almost 30 years. Bob Olinger and Galopin Des Champs will be the only two English-trained horses in the field. Tuesday's National Hunt Chase has attracted a field of six.   The last four-runner race at the Cheltonham festival was in 1994. The previous four runner field before that was the 1965 Gold Cup won by Arkle. There were eight runners in 2015, 2017 and 2021.

Ten horses have been declared for Stayers' Hurdle. The Peter Fahey-trained Royal Kahala is among the quintet. Paisley Park and Lisnagar Oscar return for another crack at the championship event. Willie Mullins has won five of the six editions of Ryanair Mares' Novices' hurdles. Victoria Malzard's 13-year-old Kansas City Chief could win the Pertemps Final. The unbeaten Love Envoi looks the best hope for Harry Fry. Bob Olinger, Rachel Blackmore, Patrick Mullin, Galopin Des Champs, Busselton and JJ Slevin are also in the field.

EPA30 applies to bets placed from 09:00 8th March 2022 until 14:50 17th 17 March 2021.
