Top tipster Dave Nevison shares his best bets for Taunton on Tuesday. Watch all the action live on Racing TV.

This will be the third time I have sided with this modest performer trained by Paul Nicholls, but I am happy to give him one more chance as I haven’t really seen a reason to remove him from my Racing TV Tracker. I will also be very surprised if the champion trainer cannot get another win out of him.

I was reasonably convinced he was beginning a winning challenge when unseating two out on his penultimate start and he was too far out of his ground to challenge when finishing a never-nearer third at Taunton last time out. He also lost a shoe on that occasion, too.

The selection has won over this course and distance, too, and I reckon he can score again here.

This six-year-old, who is a useful stayer on the Flat, has avoided the best he might have faced in this second division of the novices’ handicap hurdle, and looks to have a fairly straightforward task of getting off the mark over obstacles on his handicap debut.

Although he hasn’t looked anywhere near as good over hurdles so far, he has shown aptitude and doesn’t need to be in top form to win this race.

He is related to good staying hurdlers and wasn’t given the hardest time when second over a trip too short for him last time out – he also lost a shoe - plus starts handicapping off a very lenient mark.

I will be gutted if Trixster holds on to win here as I thought I had found the race for him at Catterick last time out, but a mistake at the last quickly put paid to his chances. He is generally opposable, too.

Stormy Flight is better than this grade over hurdles and has contested much more competitive events than this for most of his career.

He also seems to have been dropped to a good mark and has run himself back to form now.

A breathing operation seemed to very much help last time out and with a slight step up in trip, as well as the easier Taunton fences, another good run looks on the cards.
