The Los Angeles Angels and Detroit Tigers get set for a Thursday afternoon doubleheader at Detroit’s Comerica Park with first pitch for Game 1 set for a 1:10 p.m. ET start. Game 2 is tentatively scheduled for 4:40 p.m. ET as the teams play the final two games in a three-game series.

Game 1 of the Angels-Tigers doubleheader will be carried by MLB Network, with live streams available through FuboTV, which offers a 7-day free trial and DirecTV Stream (5-day free trial).

The first game of the doubleheader brings with it plenty of star power with Angels two-way superstar Shoehei Ohtani (8-5, 3.71 ERA) set to pitch and anchor the LA lineup. Righthander Michael Lorenzen (5-6, 3.49 ERA) is set to get the ball for Detroit.

The Angels-Tigers series was condensed after Wednesday night’s Game 2 was postponed. Los Angeles (52-49) took the series opener over Detroit (46-55) on Tuesday, 7-6, in extra innings after blowing a ninth-inning lead. Mickey Moniak hit a game-winning double to plate Mike Moustakas with the winning run in the 10th.

Ohtani is freshly off the trade market, where the Angels briefly entertained the idea of sending him off to the highest bidder. Instead, Los Angeles kept Ohtani in the mix and aimed to add talent instead in pursuit of a playoff a bid. The Angels currently sit at 52-49 and are in third place in the American League West Division, seven games behind Texas.

Los Angeles is also four games behind Houston and Tampa Bay in the American League Wild Card race, while the Tigers roll into the final days of July 10 games behind the Wild Card leaders. Detroit is also 6 1/2 games behind the Minnesota Twins in a wide-open American League Central Division.

The Angels are listed as favorites in the money line (-146) to win Game 2 of the series, according to FanDuel Sportsbook. The Tigers are +124 in the money line, while Los Angeles has +122 odds to cover a 1 1/2-run spread and the over/under goes off at eight total runs.

The Angels and Tigers are set for a 1:10 p.m. ET kickoff on MLB Network. Check out other live stream options through FuboTV, which offers a 7-day free trial and DirecTV Stream (5-day free trial).
