Maple Leafs same game parlay predictions vs. Flames Jan. 18: Bet on Calgary and Kadri at +390

Tonight, the Toronto Maple Leafs are set to face the Calgary Flames for the second leg of a four-game road trip.

The pregame narrative: Toronto will be in tough against a Calgary team that has won four straight and is scoring at a high rate recently. Nazem Kadri has been on fire, and I expect him to record a point tonight. Backing the over and the Flames on the moneyline brings this ticket to +390.

Same-game parlay Maple Leafs predictions

Parlay:  Kadri to score 1+ points + Over 6.5 goals + Flames moneyline (+390)

Kadri to score 1+ points (-141): Kadri is currently on a seven-game point streak heading into tonight’s matchup with the Leafs, notching five goals and five assists in that span.

The former Leaf has helped lead Calgary to wins in seven of its last nine games, and Kadri now faces a matchup in which he has historically thrived. He has three goals and five assists over seven career games against Toronto.

The Leafs are also going through one of their worst defensive stretches of the season, allowing 17 goals in the last four games — including three on the power play. Toronto currently ranks 23rd in the NHL for penalty kill efficiency (77.3%).

Kadri is prominently featured on the Flames’ PP1, a unit that has four power play goals in the last five games. If Calgary finds itself on the man advantage often tonight, Kadri stands a good chance to record a point.

Other parlay picks

Over 6.5 goals (-113): Calgary has been scoring at an extremely high rate recently, averaging 4.2 goals across its last five games.

In contrast, Toronto has allowed 3.6 goals per game over its last five games, giving up at least four goals in each of its last four losses.

Goalie Martin Jones, who has started in 10 games since Dec. 23, seems to have hit a wall with a .882 save percentage and a 3.70 goals-against average over his last three starts.

The Leafs’ offence is still averaging 3.4 goals per game over the last five games, meaning the Flames shouldn’t have to do all of the heavy lifting to hit this over.

Flames moneyline (+107): Calgary is 5-1 in its last six games at the Saddledome.

Jacob Markstrom has been instrumental to the Flames’ recent success at home, boasting a .924 SV% and 2.27 GAA over his last four home games, including three wins. In his last three starts against Toronto, he holds a 2-1 record with a 2.01 GAA and .941 SV%.

Calgary has outscored opponents 18-8 over its current four-game winning streak, partially due to increased depth scoring. The Flames are receiving contributions from across the roster, with 11 players totaling at least 20 points so far.

Take the Flames to win at home amid the Leafs’ current slump.
