Michigan Wolverines news: Elite wideout has Michigan football as a finalist, another Big Ten title, and more

One of the top overall targets for Michigan football in the 2024 recruiting class is wide receiver Gatlin Bair and on Sunday night, the elite wideout released his top five.

Michigan football made the final list for the top player in the state of Idaho along with Boise State, Nebraska, Oregon, and TCU.  Bair is 6-foot-2, 180 pounds, and as fast as just about any wideout in the 2024 class, recently running the 100-meter dash in 10.18.

Out of Burley, Idaho, Bair is the 15th-ranked wideout in the 2024 class according to the 247 Sports composite rankings and is 95th overall. He took a visit to Michigan football this spring, as well as Nebraska and others in his top five.

However, the Huskers have picked up an expert projection and the On3 prediction machine gives them a better than 90 percent chance to win his commitment. Still, it sounds like Bair will take official visits this summer and Michigan football should get one.

After that, we’ll have a better idea of where things stand. But for now, it seems like there is work to do for the Michigan Wolverines.

Michigan Wolverines win another Big Ten title

This time, it was the Michigan Wolverines women’s tennis team taking home the Big Ten title following a 4-1 victory over Ohio State. The seventh-ranked Wolverines knocked off sixth-ranked Ohio State and won their 10th Big Ten championship.

It’s incredible how many Big Ten championships Michigan has won. You can add tennis to recent titles for men’s and women’s gymnastics, as well as hockey. Of course, we all remember Michigan football winning the Big Ten title two years in a row and it’s a good time to be a Wolverine fan.
