Elite 2025 wide receiver to visit Michigan Football

Michigan football is hosting elite 2025 wide receiver Talyn Taylor for a visit this weekend as a showdown with Notre Dame is heating up.

Even though we are still in the midst of the 2024 recruiting cycle, things are starting to heat up in the 2025 class and you can see that from all the 2025 visitors Michigan football will host this weekend for the recruiting BBQ.

There are some 2024 targets that will be on campus too, although most of the 2024 visitors are players that are already committed to Michigan football.

As far as the 2025 class, this weekend is going to be key. It was a key date in 2024. Jadyn Davis, the top-100 quarterback commitment for Michigan fooball visited during the BBQ.

Michigan football will have a busy week on the recruiting trail and a big part of that will be the recruiting BBQ hosted this weekend. Well, on Wednesday, we learned another recruit that will be in attendance and that’s 2025 wide receiver Talyn Taylor.

Taylor is ranked 80th overall according to the 247 Sports composite rankings for 2025, as well as 56th overall via the On3 industry rankings. On3 also rates him as the No. 10 wide receiver in the 2025 class.

Michigan football hosted Taylor for an unofficial visit during the spring game and according to EJ Holland of The Wolverine, U-M will host him again this weekend. Taylor will also visit Notre Dame.

Michigan football and Notre Dame battling it out

Taylor is one of the top players from Illinois. That’s generally prime Notre Dame territory. However, the Wolverines have made a lot of headway in the state.

Michigan football landed J.J. McCarthy who was originally from Illinois, as well as Trevor Keegan, A.J. Henning, Tyler Morris, and others in recent recruiting classes.

Iowa is the early leader according to the On3 prediction machine. That’s due to Taylor visiting Iowa three times, however, all of those took place in 2022.

Notre Dame hosted him in the spring, as did Michigan football, so this weekend is a big opportunity for both teams.

The Wolverines have two 2025 commitments already including top-100 cornerback Chris Ewald who will also take a visit to Michigan football this weekend.
