Morris pays tribute to War Of Attrition

War Of Attrition won the 2006 Cheltenham Gold Cup. He died on Friday night at the age of 23. Trainer Mouse Morris called him the best horse he had trained. Eddie O'Leary called War Ofattrition an "amazing horse" who got the Gigginstown operation going. War ofattraction won 14 of his 34 career races, three of which came at Grade 1 level. He was placed in 12 other races. His only defeat was in the Supreme Novices' Hurdle in 2004. The only time he fell was at a point-to-point. It was only then that he was bought by Giginstown House Stud.
