National Hunt Chase favourite Gaillard Du Mesnil the one to beat in Grade 1 test

Gordon Elliott and Willie Mullins are the favourites for the Drinmore Chase. Gaillard Du Mesnil is a dual Grade 1-winning novice hurdler in 2021. Three Stripe Life is the biggest danger for Elliott. Frontal Assault is bound to relish the trip. Churchstonewarrior needs to jump better than last time at Thurles. Amirite was let down by his jumping at times. The winner will be announced on Sunday. It will take place at 3 pm. There are a total of 12 horses. They are: Carlingford Lough, Don Poli, Our Duke, Shattered Love, Delta Work, Monkfish, Churchstowarriors, Frontals Assault, Amirites, and Three Strikpe.

Townend expects step up in trip to favour Gaillard Du Mesnil. Townend and Willie Mullins won the race with Monkfish two seasons ago. Joe and Marie Donnelly's representative is priced between 2-1 and 11-4 favourite for the National Hunt Chase and between 10-10-15 for Brown Advisory Novices' Chase. Three Stripe Life is quoted between 15-2 and 10 -10 for Novice's Chase at the Cheltenham Festival.
