Below are our 2023 NFL Draft first round best bets along with some NFL promotions to consider:
2023 NFL Draft props: Best bets for No. 1 pick along with No. 2 and more
The No. 1 pick in the NFL Draft is usually a popular market, but there's no longer a mystery as to what the Carolina Panthers will do.
Alabama QB Bryce Young's odds have shot to -2000 at BetMGM after being -110 just over a week ago, and he will soon be a Panther.
As far as 2023 NFL Draft odds go, the real drama is what happens starting with the second pick. Below are our prop betting picks for 2023 NFL Draft odds ahead of next Thursday.
2023 NFL Draft odds: Bet on Tyree Wilson odds for Houston's No. 2 pick?
The second pick in the draft belongs to the Houston Texans and according to BetMGM NFL Draft odds, the current No. 2 draft pick odds look like this:
- Will Anderson +175
- CJ Stroud +250
- Will Levis +250
- Tyree Wilson +400
The Texans might keep the pick and take a quarterback, though reports indicate they don't love any of the options and it would surprise none of us to see DeMeco Ryans lobby for defense.
They might take edge rusher Will Anderson, believed to be the top prospect overall. They might trade the pick…if they can find someone who wants to trade up.
For our money, we'd go a bit down the list and select Tyree Wilson odds at +400 or better for this market. Recent reports say Houston may prefer Wilson, the edge rusher, to Anderson.
If Houston does trade this pick, all bets are off on Wilson being the guy and a QB is more likely. But after this, the picture is even muddier.
2023 NFL Draft first round best bets: Should you bet on Anthony Richardson's draft odds?
Just like Houston, the Cardinals find themselves in a predicament: Can the Arizona brass orchestrate a trade down or are they stuck picking at No. 3?
The FanDuel NFL Draft odds have three prospects with equal odds of going in this spot if they do indeed keep the pick.
Alabama LB Will Anderson (+250) is the likely candidate (+250) if the Cardinals stand pat. If they trade out, then Ohio State QB CJ Stroud (+250) is a strong candidate for the team that trades up. But another quarterback has just as strong odds to go in this spot — dual-threat QB Anthony Richardson (+250) from Florida.
This is another pick that can change the dynamic of the entire draft depending on what happens.
If we are including the No. 3 pick as one of our NFL Draft prop bets, we're going with Will Anderson at +250 based on what we think we know: the Texans prefer Tyree Wilson. This leaves Anderson as the best available player for many prognosticators, whether Arizona picks or not.
2023 NFL Draft betting odds: Bet on Will Levis' NFL Draft odds at No. 4
When it comes to the Indianapolis Colts and the No. 4 pick, there are reports linking to Kentucky QB Will Levis (+150) and currently, that is our best indicator. It really feels like he goes No. 4 or he slides a long way until someone takes him.
While owner Jim Irsay says everything is on the table, rumblings are that the team prefers Levis to quarterbacks C.J. Stroud (+150) and Anthony Richardson (+350), which is important for betting purposes here since either one could still be there at No. 4.
He has a world-class arm and comes from a pro system, but his stats are pedestrian and there are likely to be other options with different skill sets availalbe.
He could plummet a bit if he doesn't go to Indy but the current situation screams to bet Will Levis odds at +150 or better before the odds drop even more.
