Mark Johnston and Frankie Dettori should join the BHA board. The BHAs board should focus on poor use and bad technique rather than on welfare and welfare issues. The whips and the welfare are a red herring for people and organisations with agendas. Racing is a fantastic game and horses are loved. With the current new whip guidelines, the issue will be discussed again in three years time. Our leaders should stand up to them and not do their bidding. It's time to change the whip rules.
