Royals vs Rangers Prediction

The Kansas City Royals and the Texas Rangers will close their three-game set this Wednesday in Austin from Globe Life Field. Texas would win last night’s game in extras, 8-5.

Royals Betting Preview

Kansas City dropped to 3-9 following the loss to Texas. The Royals nearly upset the Rangers last night, but they ended up dropping their third straight game. The Kansas City offense is scoring 2.83 runs per game, while batting .190, with a .258 on-base percentage. The pitching staff carries a 4.56 ERA, with a 1.42 WHIP. Salvador Perez has produced a RBI in four of the last five games, and he leads the team with 6. Connie Pasquantino has recorded multiple hits in three of the last five, and he leads KC in batting average (.289).

Brad Keller (1-1, 2.61 ERA, 9 Ks) will start for Kansas City. The fifth-year righty was solid in his last outing against San Francisco, earning the win after giving up just one run in just over five innings of work.

Rangers Betting Preview

Texas moved to 7-4 after defeating Kansas City last nite. The Rangers escaped on a walkoff homer from Jonah Heim, and they’ll look to complete the sweep here. The Texas offense is scoring 6.60 runs per game, while batting .252, with a .320 on-base percentage. The pitching staff carries a 3.40 ERA, with a 1.20 WHIP. Corey Seager has recorded multiple hits in three of the last four games, and he’s first on the team in batting average at .359, but his status should be monitored after an early exit last night. Adolis Garcia has driven in six runs in the two matchups with KC, and he leads Texas in RBI (11).

Nathan Eovaldi (1-1, 4.22 ERA, 12 Ks) will get the ball for Texas here. The twelve-year veteran pitched well against the Cubs last week, striking six in his second straight quality start, but he was dealt the loss due to a lack of run support.

Kansas City vs Texas Trends

Kansas City is 3-9 against the spread this season, with a 6-6 over/under record. Texas is 6-5 ATS this year, with a 7-4 O/U record.

Corey's Free Pick

Kansas City has been embarrassing offensively, and as long as Texas performs well at the plate, they should be able to complete the sweep this Wednesday night. Eovaldi has been steady on the mound early on, so he should be able to contain an underwhelming Royals lineup and deliver another quality start here, and it should come down to a matter of run support. Back Texas at home in the series finale.
