SGP predictions for Steelers vs. Raiders

Alex Highsmith Over 2.5 solo tackles (+114) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Steelers linebackers T.J. Watt and Alex Highsmith nearly single-handedly earned Pittsburgh a Week 2 win against Cleveland. Both scored defensive touchdowns while creating problems for Deshaun Watson and the Browns all night.

Now we’re approaching this SNF parlay from a volume perspective on Alex Highsmith’s tackle total, as the line feels soft compared to his early-season production.

Highsmith has racked up seven total tackles during each Steelers game in 2023. Even by the measure of this DraftKings prop, which only includes solo tackles, Highsmith has cleared the bar in both games on the young season, racking up five and four solo tackles. DraftKings offering us this prop at plus money while keeping it eligible for inclusion in SGPs feels fortunate.

Jimmy Garoppolo Over 0.5 interceptions (-120) ⭐⭐⭐

Highsmith is a game-wrecker not only through his ability to create havoc in the backfield, but he’s also versatile enough to spot opportunities for interceptions. That’s what he did when Highsmith nabbed a Deshaun Watson pass and turned it into a pick-6 during Week 2.

Now, it’s unusual for the linebacker to be the one cashing a team’s interception prop. But the consistent pressure from Watt and Highsmith could press Garoppolo into making rushed decisions, and Pittsburgh's secondary can capitalize. Jimmy G has already thrown three INTs over two games in 2023.

FanDuel doesn’t allow QB interception props to be included in same-game parlays, whereas DraftKings does. Clearly, we’re landing at DK for this parlay.

Jaylen Warren Over 2.5 receptions (-125) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Jaylen Warren is showing he's the more dynamic running back compared to Najee Harris in the Steelers' backfield. Pittsburgh's coaching staff still seems resistant to that reality while committed to giving ample opportunities to Harris. However, the team is allowing Warren to shine in the receiving game.

Warren has recorded nine receptions in two games during 2023, displaying his versatility as a pass-catcher. He's also notched four-plus receptions in each contest, and the clamoring for him to get more playing time is getting louder each week. His role should stay at a level that allows him to clear this bar against a Raiders defense that's given up 15 receptions to running backs position through two weeks.
