The Chiefs won the Super Bowl last year and will look to become the first repeat champion since the 2003-04 New England Patriots. They already beat the 49ers in the Super Bowl four years ago, and oddsmakers expect a subsequent rematch in 2025 at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.

Who are the favorites to win Super Bowl 2025?
The 49ers (+600 via bet365) opened as the consensus betting favorites to win Super Bowl 2025, with the Chiefs (+850 via FanDuel) holding a share of the second spot at three of our four best sports betting sites.
That was the case even before those teams won their respective conference championships on Sunday, though their appearance in this year's Super Bowl will make both teams among the most popular bets to hoist the Lombardi Trophy in 2025.
They're each well-suited to make another run next season, too. The Chiefs will still have the best quarterback on the planet in Patrick Mahomes and arguably the best active coach in Andy Reid, while the 49ers have built a death star around second-year passer Brock Purdy, who remains the cheapest starting QB in the NFL.
Ravens, Lions among contenders to win Super Bowl 2025
If you're a recovering fan of either the Baltimore Ravens or Detroit Lions, your team still has a chance to win the Super Bowl ... next season, that is.
Both conference finalists opened among the betting favorites to win the Super Bowl in 2025 after each team was briefly favored to make the title game this year. In fact, the Ravens own the second-shortest odds at three of our best NFL betting sites, while the Lions have attractive +1700 odds at FanDuel despite dealing as short as +1200 elsewhere.
Of course, this could be the best (or only) chance either team has to reach the Super Bowl for a long time, as Detroit coach Dan Campbell reminded his team after Sunday's crushing loss. That's not exactly how oddsmakers see it, though.

Los Angeles Chargers
I'll be the first to admit that I'm not 100% confident Jim Harbaugh will find immediate success in Los Angeles. But you only need about 5% confidence to justify betting on the Chargers, who are dealing at +2500 or longer across all of our best live betting sites.
The pieces are there for a deep run in the loaded AFC: Harbaugh owns the fifth-best win percentage (69.5%) of any coach in NFL history, and he inherits an uber-talented quarterback in Justin Herbert and a roster full of All-Pro talent on both sides of the ball.
This squad surely won't look the same in September as it does now, but that's not the worst thing for a team with just three playoff appearances since 2010. This bet could look silly by Week 10, but it could also be a winning ticket next February.
Atlanta Falcons
The Falcons figure to be among the most popular long-shot bets ahead of the 2024 NFL season, and it's easy to understand why.
After hiring one of the hottest coaching candidates in Raheem Morris - whose defensive prowess should pay immediate dividends - all eyes turn to this offense, which features three former top-10 picks and feels like a quarterback away from contention.
That will almost certainly change in Morris' first season, with Justin Fields and Kirk Cousins among the top options to plug into Atlanta's new-look offense. Again, this bet has flameout potential, but the upside is immense at these odds.
