Will there be crowds at Aintree Racecourse next month for the 2021 Grand National
The Grand National is returning in April after it was cancelled for the first time since World War Two due to the coronavirus pandemic. The 173rd running of the National will take place at Aintree Racecourse on Saturday April 10.
Crowds won't be allowed to watch the 2021 Grand National at Aintree Racecourse due to the coronavirus lockdown. The lockdown will last until mid-May. Non-essential retail will not reopen until April 12 at the earliest.
The UK has been in and out of national lockdowns since March 2020 due to the coronavirus. The Grand National at Aintree is unlikely to be held until May 17th at the earliest.
The 2021 Grand National starts at 5.15 pm on ITV1.
Tiger Roll Davy Russell and Gordon Elliott have won the last five Grand Nationals.
