Grand National 2020: Entries led by Tiger Roll for the race at Aintree
Gordon Elliott's 10-year-old Tiger Roll heads the 105 initial entries for the Randox Health Grand National at Aintree Racecourse. Tiger roll won the Grand Nationals at the same venue last year. He is due to begin his season in either the Grade Two Boyne Hurdle at Navan on February 16 or in the Glenfarclas Cross Country Chase at Cheltenham Festival in March. Elliott has 18 of the 45 Irish-trained entries this year and is trying to join Fred Rimmell and Ginger McCain as the joint most successful trainer in Grand Nats history.

Tiger Roll, One For Arthur and Magic Of Light are among the entries for the Grand National 2020. The Jessica Harrington-trained Sizing John was scratched after suffering a season-ending injury. Colin Tizzard's 2018 Cheltenham Gold Cup winner Native River is also entered. Two-time winner of Haydock's Grade One Betfair Chase Bristol de Mai heads seven contenders for dual Grand Nats-winning trainer Nigel Twiston-Davies. Burrows Saint is one of 10 entries in the race for Willie Mullins, who won the National with Hedgehunter in 2005.
Walk In The Mill won the Becher Handicap Chase at Aintree in December. He is set to run over hurdles at Chepstow on Friday. Robert Walford wants to return to Aintsree with a fresh horse. Grand National 2020 entries are being accepted. The winner will be announced on April 25th.
Sue Smith entered Vintage Clouds for the Grand National at Haydock Park. Trevor Hemmings is the joint most successful in Grand Nats history with three wins. Paul Nicholls won the National in 2012 with Neptune Collonges. Christian Williams' Welsh Grand Nat hero Potters Corner is entered. JP McManus-owned pair of Kimberlite Candy and Nicky Henderson's Ok Corral are also entered and are a best-priced 33-1 chance with William Hill. There are two French-trained entries in Jerome Larrigade's Balko Moriviere and Disco d'Authie from the David Cottin stable.
The weights for the 2020 Grand National are unveiled before an invited audience at St George's Hall in Liverpool on Tuesday, February 11.
Tiger Roll is the favourite to win the 2020 renewal of the Grand National. Native River, the 2018 Gold Cup Winner, is available at 20/1 with Betway. Nicky Henderson has four horses entered in the race this year.
The Grade Three handicap chase takes place at Aintree Racecourse at 5.15 pm on April 4, 2020. The horses race 4m 2f 74yds over the Grand National fences. There will be a maximum field of 40 horses plus four reserves. Entries close on January 29. The weights revealed February 11, first scratchings deadline February 25, second scratching deadline March 17, five-day confirmations March 30, final declarations 10am April 2.
