10 favorites to win CJ Cup 2022, including Scottie Scheffler

The 2022 CJ Cup takes place this week at Congaree Golf Club in Ridgeland, South Carolina. Rory McIlroy is the reigning champion and the 2022 FedEx Cup winner. Jon Rahm and Scottie Scheffler are in the field. Justin Thomas and Jordan Spieth are making their PGA Tour season debuts. Viktor Hovland, Sahith Theegala, and Keegan Bradley are also in this year's field, as well as players who played at the ZOZO Championship.

Rickie Fowler has reached the same number of FedEx Cup points as he had all of last season. Fowler finished in the top 10 at three events and has a chance to be at the head of the leaderboard on Sunday.

Matt Fitzpatrick is making his PGA Tour debut. He tees off Thursday at 6:39 a.m. PT with Shane Lowry and Jason Day.

The reigning PGA Tour winner is in South Carolina. Keegan Bradley won the BMW Championship last week. He was third in the ZOZO Championship field in greens in regulation and birdies for the tournament.

Max Homa is coming off a tie for 20th finish in Las Vegas. He won the Fortinet Championship earlier this season.

Scottie Scheffler is the world's No. 1 player according to the Official World Golf Rankings. He is playing his first individual event on the PGA Tour this season after playing the Presidents Cup for Team USA. Schefler starts his round at 9:49 a.m. PT on Thursday with Sungjae Im and Cameron Young.

Viktor Hovland finished tied for fifth in his season debut last week in Japan. He tees off on Thursday at 6:51 a.m. PT with Sam Burns and Si Woo Kim.

Jordan Spieth is playing in CJ Cup this week. He tees off on Thursday at 10:01 a.m. PT. Spielh played for Team USA at the President's Cup last month.

Spieth had a difficult putting season. He has worked hard after East Lake and in the week leading up to the Presidents Cup.

Justin Thomas is making his first individual appearance this season after playing in the Presidents Cup for Team USA last month. Thomas won the PGA Championship back in May.

Jon Rahm is making his season debut at CJ Cup. He won at the Open de España on Oct. 9. Rah m tee off with Bradley and Thomas at 7:08 a.m. PT on Thursday.

Rory McIlroy won CJ CUP in Las Vegas last year. He tees off Thursday at 7:20 a.m. PT with Tom Kim and Fowler. The course was designed by Tom Fazio, who also designed The Summit Club, the site of last's CJ Cup.
