18:00 Windsor: Timeform preview, tip and free racecard

It's a low-key day of racing on Monday but arguably the pick of the action is the mile fillies' handicap (18:00) at Windsor. There are six runners set to head to post and Timeform's weight-adjusted ratings are headed by Five Towns (90) who produced her best effort yet when runner-up at Haydock in June, finding only a rival who has subsequently been twice placed at Listed level too strong.
Five Towns, who was making her first start over as far as a mile, travelled fluently but gave the impression that she found the ground a bit quick when asked for her effort, carrying her head slightly awkwardly. It's likely to be fast ground at Windsor, though not as quick as at Haydock where Timeform described the going as firm. In any case, that was still a promising effort from the lightly raced Five Towns who earned the Horse In Focus Flag and could still have more to offer from what remains a lenient mark following a 3 lb rise in the weights - she is 5 lb clear at the head of Timeform's weight-adjusted ratings. She also has the Hot Trainer Flag to highlight the good form of William Haggas.
The biggest danger to Five Towns could be Prisha (85p). She was badly in need of the experience when down the field on her only start last season but she proved a different proposition on her return at Haydock in May, shaping well in second behind a rival who secured first run. She didn't need to improve on that form to make the most of a good opportunity at Yarmouth last time, but she left the impression that there's better to come when the situation demands it. An opening mark of 76 looks fair and this unexposed filly is entitled to plenty of respect.
Time's Eye (84) was disappointing at Kempton last time when failing to beat a rival on her all-weather debut, but she had scored over this course and distance prior to that on just her second start in a handicap so it's possible that she could bounce back. She impressed with how she travelled on her way to that three-quarter-length success, while the good form of trainer Ralph Beckett (has the Hot Trainer Flag) is another positive for her.
Sonemos (84) is another who needs to bounce back after finishing last of six at Leicester last time, though she shaped better than the result would suggest there as testing conditions seemed to take a toll. She had been in good form prior to that, following up a win in a Leicester handicap with a solid third at Sandown.
Purple Love (76) has stepped up on last season's efforts, going close on her return at Newmarket and then getting off the mark with a narrow victory at Doncaster a couple of weeks ago. She's still relatively unexposed and is in good hands, but the bare form of her Doncaster win doesn't look anything out of the ordinary so she will need to raise her game on her handicap debut.
Transfer Affection (79) is making her first start for David Loughnane having previously been with Kevin Ryan. She produced a few fair placed efforts last season but others appear better treated at the weights.
Timeform's Analyst Verdict:
FIVE TOWNS was a good second to one who has subsequently placed twice in listed company when upped to this trip at Haydock in June. With just five runs under her belt, she may well have more to offer. Next on the list is Prisha, who landed the odds in a Yarmouth maiden last time and rates a big danger with improvement likely now handicapping. Time's Eye is third choice.
