2014 Donn Handicap: Entries, Post Positions & Odds

Will Take Charge is the favorite in Sunday's Grade 1 Donn Handicap at Gulfstream Park. The Donn is a one and one eighth of a mile race on the main track. There are races on it this year: Donn, Dubai World Cup, Blue Grass Stakes, Man o'War, United Nations, Eddie Read, CCA Oaks, Saratoga Special, Sword Dancer, and Woodbine Mile.

Will Take Charge is starting in the starting gate for the Donn. The rest of the field has some good results at the graded stakes level. If Will Take charge runs to his best, the race is for second place. The field is full of horses that prefer to run in middle to the back of pack. Two of them are Romansh and Lea. Leas is a son of First Samurai out of a Galileo mare. He has won his only start over the Gulfstream dirt. River Seven prefers to be on the lead. His last two wins came on grass. However, he has a 7-3-2- 2-1 record on dirt and he's won 7 times on this surface.

Uncaptured won the G2-Kentucky Jockey club as a juvenile at Churchill Downs. Revolutionary won Louisiana Derby, Indiana Derby and Belmont Stakes. River Seven won three straight races at Keeneland. Viramundo won five times in Panama but not in North America. Joshua's Comprise has won just two races in 35 lifetime starts.
