North Queensland Cowboys are aiming to become the first team in the history of the NRL to win the Premiership. They are playing in their fourth Grand Final in a row. Melbourne are going to play in its ninth straight Grand final and have won nine straight games. The game will be the last for Melbourne halfback Cooper Cronk. Melbourne won the Provan-Summons Trophy last season. North Queensland made the finals every year since 2011. A win for the Cowboys would be their second title in three years.
