Charles Schwab Challenge field and favorites

We're now halfway through the major championship season with three events standing between Oak Hill and the U.S. Open at LACC.

That stretch starts with the Charles Schwab Challenge and topping the board is Scottie Scheffler (+450) after a runner-up finish last week. Consistency is the name of the game with Scottie, with two wins and no finish worse than T12 going all the way back to November. He also finished runner-up here at Colonial a year ago.

Beyond Scheffler is a trio of guys at 14/1: Jordan Spieth, Viktor Hovland, and Tony Finau. Spieth has a particularly impressive resume here, with a win in 2016 and three runner-ups (2015, 2017, 2021) among nine Top-15 finishes in 10 career starts.

2022 runner-up Collin Morikawa is just below that group at +1,600, while defending champion Sam Burns sits at 25/1 despite missing the cut at Oak Hill last week.

Michael Block's odds to win the Charles Schwab Challenge

Look beyond Brooks Koepka's fifth major win and the biggest story coming out of Oak Hill is that of Michael Block, a PGA professional who contended with three straight rounds of 70 and a 71 on Sunday. He also sent roars through the property with a final-round hole-in-one on No. 15 — a true storybook ending to an incredible week.

He finished T15, which gets him an invite to next year's PGA Championship. He also received a sponsor exemption to the Charles Schwab Challenge — as well as the RBC Canadian Open in two weeks — and is now on the board at +30,000 to win this week.

In bet365's top finisher markets, Block is available at +6,000 to finish inside the Top 5, +2,200 to finish Top 10, +800 for a Top 20, and +240 for a Top 40.
