Charles Schwab Challenge 2023 LIVE: UK tee times, field, live stream and talkSPORT commentary

The Charles Schwab Challenge is taking place on the PGA Tour this week and PGA Championship hero Michael Block will be part of the action.

As the brilliant Brooks Koepka claimed major glory in Oak Hill last Sunday, many people were also cheering on club professional Block.

The 46-year-old was superb throughout the week, claiming a 15th placed finish and an invite to the Charles Schwab among other accolades.

He’ll join another stellar field including defending champion Sam Burns and world number one Scottie Scheffler in Texas.

Burns beat his good friend Scheffler in a playoff last year to clinch the title and there will be plenty of top names eyeing glory this week.

Charles Schwab Challenge 2023: Field and tee times

The Charles Schwab is one of only five invitational events on the PGA Tour alongside the Genesis, the Arnold Palmer, the RBC Heritage, and Memorial.

It has a smaller field than normal tournaments and can offer places to players such as PGA Championship hero Block.

Scheffler headlines the field while Viktor Hovland, Max Homa, Jordan Spieth and Tony Finau are the other top-ranked players.

Justin Rose, Zach Johnson, Chris Kirk, Kevin Kisner and Rory Sabbatini are among the former winners of the tournament who are back to try and claim the trophy again.

There were a total of 120 players involved, but that has been cut to 72 for round three.

The tee times and groupings for the third round were confirmed on Friday night and can be found here.

Charles Schwab Challenge 2023: What has been said?

Club pro Block has a sneaking suspicion his life has changed forever thanks to his sensational performance at the PGA Championship.

"This week's been absolutely a dream," Block said. "I didn't know it was going to happen, but I knew if I just played my darned game that I could do this.

"It just happened to be that I was in the 2023 PGA Championship at Oak Hill, and I had Rory McIlroy in my group.

"I wasn't coming down the stretch to win, but at the same time, Sunday at a major with the crowd here at Rochester was unreal.

"My life's changed, but my life's only changed for the better. I've got my family. I've got my friends. I've got the people that really love me and care about me here. It's an epic experience.

"I'm just a club professional, right? I work. I have fun. I have a couple boys that I love to play golf with. I have a great wife. I have great friends. I live the normal life.

"I love being at home. I love sitting in my backyard. My best friend in the world is my dog. I can't wait to see him.

"But, yeah, it's been a surreal experience and I had this weird kind of sensation that life is going to be not quite the same moving forward, but only in a good way, which is cool.

"I want to get more phone calls. I want to get more exemptions. I want people to start calling me and saying, 'we want you in our event because it makes it better'. That's great to me."
